The season of appetite has arrived! From late October to early May, the Seto Inland Sea coast near Himeji Castle is in peak oyster season. After exploring the castle, why not enjoy freshly grilled or raw oysters and other seafood delicacies at a charming seaside oyster hut?

Deep Himeji Stories: Rod, Dafne & Lopi from Mexico City Discover Himeji Castle, Kirakira-zaka, and a Bonsai Shop

🇲🇽✨ A Wonderful Family from Mexico ✨
We had the pleasure of welcoming Rod, a surgeon, Dafne, an ophthalmologist, and their mother Lopi, an anesthesiologist, from Osaka.

Our day began with a stroll through the serene Kokoen Garden 🌿, followed by a traditional tea ceremony at Soju-an 🍵. After a delicious lunch at Takada-no-baba 🍴, we explored the majestic Himeji Castle 🏯.

In Ako, we visited Iwato Hime Shrine ⛩ and the charming Kirakira-zaka ✨. Finally, we stopped at Arita Farm, where Rod, a bonsai enthusiast, admired the collection. Although they couldn’t bring bonsai trees home due to quarantine restrictions, they happily purchased beautiful bonsai pots.

Despite the summer heat, the family enjoyed a full day of rich experiences with bright smiles throughout 😊
